“ Very very tasty food, Excellent sides, and the service is pretty entertaining too. Please just make sure you get seated in the main room instead of one of the back rooms if it's really hot or really cold out. those other rooms don't seem as well regulated temperature wise but if you sit in the main room and you get one of the waitresses who cares you're gonna have an amazing time. ”
“ The food was so amazing! I always get the all you can eat and get the top 5 meats. I love Judy she's the best and always gives me the best service! I always get a bottle of soju on the side (strawberry flavor). They also always have some sort of deals! ”
“ The food was amazing (chicken yakisoba, fried pork dumplings, crispy rice stone bowl, the Korean corn dog trio, and a ton of tiny side bowls of various pickled or seasoned veggies). Very friendly staff, we even got to sample a sushi roll while we waited for our food. The restaurant was clean, simply but beautifully decorated. We had a very spacious table with a grill built in (for those that order those types of meals. ”
“ Ah what a little hidden gem. I came out to Savoy for a local premiere for a feature film, You're OUT!, that we shot in the area and my partner and I were so hungry. After getting gas we decided to stop by to Star BBQ and we're so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, authentic vibes, the quick service, and the fact that the space was full of Korean folks. Always a good sign of a good korean restaurant. We even got our food super fast because they knew we were going to the theater and didn't have much time to eat. Also, they have kim chee pizza. If I was in town longer I would definitely try their pizza! Apparently it's a hot item there and very popular. ”
“ Smelled good when I walked in. Always a good sign. Wanted Korean fried chicken because I heard the one by DQ was really good. They were closed on Wednesday! But sign said try the Star restaurant by Schnucks. Are they related?Got Bulgoki bibimbap came with delicious veggies and kimchi. Very nicely done and flavorful. The chicken wings were ok. I would try it again. ”
“ Star BBQ is my favorite restaurant in C-U. Every dish I've had there has been phenomenal! I'd like to say what my favorite dish is, but I can't possibly narrow it down. If I'm eating by myself, it's nice to be in a booth where you can watch the music videos. If you're with a group, grilling at the table is ideal! Worth every penny. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the proprietors. VIP service, for real! So friendly, welcoming, and attentive! I and/or we dine at Star BBQ every two weeks or so. Check this place out! ”
“ Champaign, IL is the closest city with somewhat decent Asian genre food, and this time I took the family to eat some Korean BBQ. The food was actually not too shabby. Surprisingly, the star of the banchan was the potato salad. I'm not one to crave potato salad, but it was actually quite tasty. Servers were very accommodating and gave more banchan when we requested it. Will be back again! ”
“ Star BBQ is one of the top Korean restaurants in town! Located in Savoy, the restaurant has so much space to offer with grills to cook meat on almost all the tables. I've been there for dinner without bbq and dinner with bbq and both experiences have been great. The servers are extremely friendly, and I have to say that their soy bean stew is probably one of my favorites in town. Highly recommend! ”
